Imagine what the world would look like if every Christian were maximally utilized living out their faith by serving others…. Bridges of Love NW’s vision is to see Christian churches united in purpose and fully engaged in actively living out their faith by lovingly serving people in need in their communities. Our Vision is guided by the belief that Bridges of Love NW is: Christ-centered: All that we do and say must honor and glorify our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that churches are called to live and labor in the love of the Creator by doing, sharing, and growing in His goodness as they endeavor to reveal and share the love of Christ to others in all aspects of their lives. (Romans 12:2) An instrument of transformation: The Scriptures urge us to not be conformed to the patterns of this world, but instead be vessels of God’s purpose on earth. Through the gifts given us, our actions, words and deeds become opportunities for ministry and leadership as God’s instruments through instruction, correction, and guidance. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 3:18) Part of a global community: We seek out and grow relationships with local churches and the larger community around the world. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8) Bridges of Love NW, located in Pierce County, WA works to support Christians in bringing God’s love and care into our communities by mobilizing churches to meet the unmet needs of individuals and families. In doing this we will seek to know God better, to demonstrate the power of Jesus’ love, and to witness to the only source that can make us effective — the love that God has for all people.
Our mission is to mobilize the Church in Pierce County to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ. Why mobilize? Our heart is to bring the Body of Christ together to fulfill the service that God has called His church to. We work with a variety of different churches, not matter the denomination. By working with a large pool of churches, we are able to mobilize a wide spectrum of volunteers. What does transform really mean? Here at Bridges of Love NW, we are focused on the person we are helping, not just their need. We are willing to enter into relationships which have the potential to change lives. We desire to give them a hand up, not just a hand out. Each life transformed impacts others around them. The more lives touched, the greater the impact it will have on the community. Of course, we are always in the process of improving our ministry and developing new ways to value each individual. Nothing is perfect, but we believe that with a right heart after God, He will lead us.
